Gail Benick is a writer, educator, and book lover. Trained as an historian, she brings to her work a deep understanding of the historical forces shaping our lives.
Her career as a professor at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario spanned more than three decades. She coordinated Sheridan’s student exchange program with Osaka Electro-Communication University in Japan and Sheridan’s joint program in Communication, Culture and Information Technology with the University of Toronto at Mississauga.
An early advocate of diversity training, Benick developed Sheridan’s Multicultural Workplace Programs and the college’s Program in Intercultural Communication.
Beyond the classroom walls, Gail facilitates book clubs in Toronto where she lives. She holds an M.Ed from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto and an M.Phil from the City University of New York.
